    The Belair X 6-12 is designed with a folding structure that's convenient for when you're out and about or storing the camera. Remember to unfold the camera before shooting.

    To unfold the Belair X 6-12 press the folding lock at the bottom of the camera, hold and pull out the lens board until it locks into place.

    To fold the Belair X 6-12 there are two folding locks, at the top and bottom of the folding structure. Press together the two locks, and push back the lens board until it locks into place.

  • Which Flashes can I use with the Belair X 6-12?

    The Belair X 6-12 has a standard hot-shoe flash connection which means you can use any flash with standard hot-shoe. When you are using flash, the auto exposure will still work normally to capture any ambient light.

  • How do I load 120 film into my Belair X 6-12?

    • First you’ll need to open the camera’s back door: pull down the door lock on the bottom corners of the camera and remove the back cover.
    • Take out the 120 film taking spool, place it into the chamber on the right-hand side. Make sure to engage the advancing shaft properly.
    • Place a fresh 120 film into the left chamber, pull out the film’s back paper tongue, slip it into the 120 taking spool opening, turn the advancing lever anti-clockwise to make sure the film is properly inserted.
    • Close the back door.
    • Turn the advancing lever anti-clockwise to advance the film until you reach the first frame of your format chosen:
      1. 6×6 (12 pictures per roll): Use the lower red frame window and stop at frame number 1; count every frame number in the window when you shoot and advance.
      2. 6×9 (8 pictures per roll): Use the upper red frame window and stop at frame number 1; count every frame number in the window when you shoot and advance.
      3. 6×12 (6 pictures per roll): Use the lower red frame window, stop at frame number 2; Count even frame numbers (2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12) in the window as you shoot and advance.

  • How Do I Check The Batteries?

    The Battery Check indicator is located below the ISO dial on the Belair X 6-12. To see the battery level, you can simply press the Shutter Release Lever halfway down. You will then see one of the following:

    1. A green LED lights up when the battery is working
    2. A green LED blinks when they battery level is low and it’s time for you to change the batteries.
    3. No LED lights up if the battery is empty or not properly installed.

  • How do I change the Belair X 6-12 lens?

    1. Hold the lens barrel tight, turn the lens anti-clockwise until you hear a "click" sound; the lens is now detached and you may attach another lens.
    2. Fit the lens onto the camera by matching it with the white indication on the lens board; turn the lens clockwise until the lens locks into place.
    3. Hold the viewfinder and turn anti-clockwise to detach, make sure you attach a viewfinder which matches your lens’s focal length.

    Caution: The shutter blades under the lens are a high-precision part. DO NOT touch the shutter blades with your fingers or any other object. Do not blow it with compressed air. If you are going to remove the lens for a long period, make sure you use the camera body cap to cover the shutter in the package.
